Some of our favorite places to visit when traveling have actually been the Library's across the country. They have really had great activities for my children. In the towns we have visited in the past we have participated in Spanish lessons, plays, been part of the library float in the local parade, not to mention that even with out a local library card we have been able to hang out and read as many books as we like. Our local Cobb County Library Kids summer activity Calander 2010
is filled with fun free activities. I knew they had story time and movie days but until this week I didn't know that they had classes at my local libraries for 9 - 12 year olds. They even have a few classes geared toward Middle School students. Among the classes listed are Beginning Crochet, Video Game Design Lab, Fun with Duct Tape, Origami Boat Race, Paper Bead Jewelry, Fun with Chinese-beginning language lessons, and Civil War Life at Camp presented by the Southern Museum just to name a few. Check out the listing and mark your calendars for fun, fun, fun. Some classes registration is required so call ahead and check out your local library for activities.
