2009 Taxes done for free if you made $48,000 or less

Atlanta Prosperity has an extensive listing of places, dates and times you can get help doing your 2009 taxes for free.  They also have help if you plan to do your taxes by your self this year.

The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program is a national initiative of the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) that offers FREE tax help to low- to moderate-income (48,000 and below for Tax Season 2010) people who cannot prepare their own tax returns. IRS certified and trained volunteers, sponsored by various organizations, help prepare basic tax returns and help working families with special tax credits such as Earned Income Tax Credit, Child Tax Credit, and Credit for the Elderly for which they may qualify. VITA sites are generally located at community and neighborhood centers, libraries, churches, schools, shopping malls, and other convenient locations. Each location also offers free electronic filing.
The VITA program In metro Atlanta is managed by the Atlanta Prosperity Campaign, in partnership with the Internal Revenue Service. The VITA program is offered at numerous sites in the community.

Turbo Tax is part of the Tax Freedom Project and offers free returns.  Check to see if you qualify.
Free Tax USA offers free federal filing and $9.95 State filing.
