Snack pack for the drive

I teach a Couponing Class and in it I encourage people to keep food in the car. Pack food because you are going to get hungry.  Even if you ate before you left  for  your meeting on the way home you may be thinking "What am I going to make when I get home to eat"?  If you carry nuts, fruit, veggies, a power bar, etc.  that will help take the edge off.
#1 You are more willing to prepare a healthy meal when you get home if you aren't starving
#2 That keeps you from driving through somewhere to get food
#3 It keeps money in your pocket that you don't have to spend
#4 You eat better
I usually have a few cans of nuts and some fruit in the car. This is the large "snack pack" I packed for my husbands 1000 mile road trip this week. He has 3 tuna's, 4 cans or chicken, 2 containers of pistachio's, 1 can of almonds, 1 container of trail mix, 2 containers of cut up veggies, 2 apples, 2 banana's, 4 power bars and 5 packages of instant oatmeal and a bowl. All of this was of course bought when it was on sale and at it's lowest price point.  I don't usually go out shopping.  I use what is in my pantry already. Sometimes I use ice packs and make sandwiches, add cheese sticks or frozen yogurts.
