What to do when there are no coupons in your area?

I recently traveled for 3 weeks in an area that doesn't have access to coupon inserts the way we do here in Metro Atlanta. It was a little sad but there were plenty of ways to save money.  I loved this posting that PanaMom wrote for Money Saving Mom on "What Do You Do When You Live Outside the Reach of Sales"?
